Terms of Service

Read the terms of service for using Social Preview.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Social Preview ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and MINDQUB SRL, the company that operates Social Preview ("we," "us," or "our").

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the revised Terms. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

The application is hosted on Replit's cloud infrastructure, with servers and all data storage and processing located in the United States. Details of what data is stored, and where, are set out in Section 9 (Data Storage and Third-Party Subprocessors) and in our Privacy Policy.

3. Description of Service

Social Preview is a browser-based tool that allows content creators to preview how their thumbnails, avatars, and channel banners will appear across various social media platforms and device types. The following describes what is available now and what is planned:

  • Images (Free) — Preview thumbnails, avatars, and banners. No account required. Always free.
  • Videos (currently free) — Video feed and short/reel previews for YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram require Google sign-in. There is currently no usage limit or charge. A 10-use free allowance followed by $9.99 per month is planned but not active.
  • Ads (planned) — Meta and Google ad creative previews are not yet available to general users. A $19.99 per month plan is planned but not active.

4. Accounts and Sign-In

To access Video features, you must sign in using a valid Google account. Ad previews are not yet available to general users. By signing in, you authorise us to receive and store your Google profile information (display name, profile picture URL, and a one-way hash of your email address) as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You may not create accounts on behalf of others or use automated means to create accounts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Billing Status

Billing and paid subscriptions are not currently available. We do not charge for image previews or signed-in video previews. The video and ad prices described above are plans only; no recurring charges, renewals, or paid subscription cancellation terms apply at this time. If paid services become available, applicable prices and billing terms will be provided before you subscribe.

6. Current Video Access

Signed-in video previews currently have no usage limit or charge. The proposed 10-use free allowance and paid video plan are not active.

7. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to:

  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Not process, preview, or display content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or obscene.
  • Not attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or extract the source code of the Service.
  • Ensure you have the right to use any images or content you process through the Service.
  • Not share your account credentials with others.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights to any images, thumbnails, avatars, banners, and other content you upload or process using the Service. Social Preview does not claim any ownership or licence to your content. Your uploaded images and videos are processed within your browser and are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.

The Service itself — including its design, code, user interface, features, functionality, trademarks, and logos — is owned by MINDQUB SRL and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our written permission.

9. Data Storage and Third-Party Subprocessors

We are transparent about exactly what is stored and where. The Service is designed so that the large majority of processing happens locally in your browser.

Stored on our servers (only if you sign in)

  • Your Google account identifier
  • Your Google display name
  • Your Google profile picture URL (a link only — we do not copy the image)
  • A one-way SHA-256 hash of your email address (the actual email is never stored in readable form)
  • Your last login timestamp

Stored in your browser

A single secure session cookie (HttpOnly, Secure, with a 30-day expiry) that identifies your logged-in session. In addition, we store two functional preferences in your browser's localStorage — your light/dark theme choice and your acknowledgement of our cookie notice. These contain no personal data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Never sent to our servers

Every image, thumbnail, avatar, banner, or video you upload is processed entirely inside your browser and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. It exists only in your browser's memory for the current session and is gone when you close the tab.

Third-party subprocessors

When enabled for the published Service, Replit's built-in, cookieless Project Analytics measures page visits and predefined preview interactions (platform, page and device selections, sign-in starts, and successful local image or video preview creation). Event properties do not include uploaded files, filenames, captions, titles, or account identifiers. We do not use advertising or cross-site advertising tracking services. The third-party services are:

  • Google OAuth — sign-in only.
  • YouTube Data API — read-only lookups of public video metadata (title, view count, thumbnail) when a user pastes a YouTube link; no personal data is sent, only the public video identifier you paste is used to retrieve its metadata.
  • Replit — cloud hosting infrastructure and, when enabled, published-site usage analytics (servers located in the United States).

10. No Warranties; "As Is" Provision

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The previews generated by the Service are approximations and may not perfectly represent how content will appear on actual platforms. Platform layouts and display methods are subject to change by their respective owners without notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MINDQUB SRL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion. There are currently no prepaid subscriptions to refund. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

13. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. The courts of Bucharest, Romania shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, subject to any applicable mandatory consumer protection laws. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. Nothing in these Terms deprives you of any mandatory consumer protection rights granted under the laws of your country of residence.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed from these Terms, without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.
